As a peer health educator you will learn about public health issues that face the world and campus population such as: safer sex, alcohol, relationship communication, sexual assault, nutrition, poverty, obesity, health care, environmental issues, racism, and receive LGBTQ ally training.

Your main responsibilities as a Peer Health Educator:
• Attend classes every Tuesday and Thursday 10-11:50
• Design and facilitate health presentations and workshops
• Design and display health related bulletin boards
• Write a published article for the WELLNOW news letter
• Staff the EMU Health Resource Center
• Staff tables around campus related to various health issues
• Provide health information to students through our "Taking it to the Streets" program

Two term commitment- a total of eight upper division EDLD credits
Must be at least a sophomore to apply
Pass/No pass
