RICE PILAFF--back to the recipe list
Saute (on medium to high heat) the onions, garlic, and cumin seeds
until the onions begin to turn brown. Add the potatoes and spices and
cook on medium heat until the potatoes are almost completely cooked.
Add the peas, rice, and water and boil the rice until the water is
just barely sitting on top. Turn the heat down to low and let sit
with a cover until all the water is gone (usually 5-10 minutes.
